Florence (Again)

I am not bored to contemplate the landscapes of Florence. It is even more beautiful view from far. At a few hundred meters of the center of the city, I discover the countryside very quickly. The light spouts out sky and floods the roofs of the city.

Four days at Florence

We arrived in the early morning by the train. A little fog and these brown and green colors which invade the eyes. I came several times to Italy and, each time I am filled with wonder by the landscapes. Here, it is the Arno river which crosses the town of Florence. With far away, the green on the hills... Soon, images of the city.

Visitor of the time.

Some brought back photos of Alsace (area of the east of France). It was in November. A soft weather, the clear horizon. A little effort to arrive in top of the mountain and to discover the castle. It was built in the Middle Ages and was restored at the beginning of the 20th century.

Houses in Paris.

While seeking well, I still find the countryside in Paris. Small houses built at the beginning of the 20th century. They are very small, and gathered in a district. When I walk there, I escape very quickly from the environment of the city.

Madeira island.

Some photographs of a very beautiful memory. An island marvellous, calm, with very varied landscapes. Here, it is the festival of the village; with flowers in the streets. It is nice (!!!!)for the cars which are condemned to remain at the garage.

Sunday at the Bois de Vincennes (Paris)

I run around the lake every saturday. Sunday, it was just for a walk. We are in winter: no leaves in the trees, the boats are on the ground waiting for a better weather.

Write and see

Two things are very important for me. To write : about simple things of life. To see
: what impress my eyes. Here is a way to express myself.

I stayed 3 days in the Alpes. I took some photos with my mobile. The quality is not he best but shows the landscape. Lost in the forest, a mailbox ...

Walking along the Loire

Life can be very peaceful near the Loire, far from the Castels of the Loire. The town of Gien, where are made the porcelain.

Near the channel of Briare

It was in May. Two days close to the channel of Briare. It is exactly a bridge-channel; it spans the Loire. Close to the channel, a shepherd with his sheep. I have a peaceful and beautiful memory of this moment.

Les Grands Moulins (future Université Paris 7)

Old industrial building, the Large Mills were used to manufacture flour. After having nourished the bodies, they will nourish from now on the souls.

After the bridge, we leave Paris. In the foreground, a sand pit.

New building with old one

In Paris, a place has been destroyed to create a new area (near Bibliotheque Mitterrand). Nothing which was before will stay. Howewer, some people tried to keep a few beautiful building. This one (industrial) will become the future Architecture School of Paris.

Paris in December

At the end of the year, the cold temperature is coming slowly. A short snow has fallen, but the sun makes disapear it. I think that to-morrow will be perfectly white.

Sunday at the "Grand Palais"

The "Grand Palais" (great palace) was built in 1900 for the "Exposition Universelle". It is built of glass and metal. Usually, we find there exposistions of painting. The renovation work of the canopy is finished. While waiting for reopening, Paris had the idea to install a fun fair there : the large wheel goes up until the top of the canopy.
